  • Ash's stocks a range of fresh seafood, frozen for your convenience. Choose from our range of fish direct from the Gulf of Carpentaria including Barramundi, King Salmon and Grunter, or stock up on green prawns, sea scallops and oysters.
  • Fresh cooked prawns and mud crab are seasonally available.

 

General Store

  • The best café - takeaway food in the Gulf - specialising in seafood. If you are interested in catering for larger groups including breakfasts - lunch - dinner - just ask!
  • Just in case you have run out or forgotten something, Ash's General Store has a large variety of supermarket and convenience items.
  • Block and crushed ice, cold drinks and ice creams, souvenirs and t-shirts
  • Pre — paid mobile phone credit and phone cards available
  • Charters, river cruises, scenic flights and croc & crab tours can be booked through the Café
  • Ash’s has a large range of shirts and souvenirs
  • EFTPOS facilities include Mastercard — Visa — American Express and Bartercard
  • Ash’s also has an in-store ATM machine
  • The Karumba Airport is close by and we can arrange pickup for guests booked in to Ashs Holiday Units — just let us know prior to your travel date — also a great way to get to Karumba and enjoy a wet season experience!

 



 

Location

Ash’s is located on the corner of Ward (the main road into Karumba Point) and Palmer Streets — directly across the road from the Sunset Tavern and the amazing Gulf of Carpentaria coastline at Karumba Point. Just look for the sign!



 



Internet Kiosk and Wireless Internet

Ash’s has an in-store Internet Kiosk which is coin operated as well as offering wireless internet both to our guests in room or as a visitor enjoying the café — ask at the Café for information.

 

Bait and Tackle

Ash's General Store carries an extensive range of fishing tackle and don't forget to top up your bait supply before heading out on your fishing trip - prawns, squid, gar, mullet or pilchards.

 



 

DVD Hire

Ash's has a large range of DVD's for hire from the General Store. If you are staying at Ash's Holiday Units, simply request for your choice of DVD to be played through the in-house movie system. If you are staying at Ash’s there are DVD players available at no cost for your room — just request one from the café
